                  AMLIN BERMUDA LIMITED RATED A- BY A.M. BEST



Amlin plc ('Amlin') today confirmed that its new Bermuda reinsurance operation
has been assigned a financial strength rating of A- (Excellent) with a stable
outlook by A.M. Best.



Separately, A.M. Best has also affirmed Amlin's Syndicate 2001 Rating of A
(Excellent), citing its well diversified account, strong internal risk
management and control infrastructure.
