NOTICE OF PRELIMINARY RESULTS
FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2001

Amlin plc, the leading Lloyds insurer, will be announcing preliminary results for
the year ended 31 December 2001 on Wednesday 24 April 2002.

An analysts meeting will be held at 9.30am at Amlin's head office, 10th
floor, St Helen's, One Undershaft, London EC3. Analysts who wish to attend
