Martin Nicklasson, Executive Vice-President, Global Marketing, a person
discharging managerial responsibilities, purchased AstraZeneca PLC USD0.25
Ordinary Shares traded on the Stockholm Stock Exchange as follows:


- on 28 August 2006, 3,500 shares at a price of SEK455.5 per share and 650
shares at a price of SEK454 per share;


- on 29 August 2006, 2,050 shares at a price of SEK461.5 per share and 1,450
shares at a price of SEK462 per share.
