Transaction by Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities
On 28 March 2011, the interest of the following individuals, who are all persons discharging managerial responsibilities, in AstraZeneca PLC ordinary shares, changed as detailed below. The change in interest relates to the vesting of previously announced awards made in March 2008 under the AstraZeneca Performance Share Plan or, for Jeff Pott, the AstraZeneca Executive Performance Share Plan, whereby, following the application of performance measures specified at the time of grant, the individuals concerned have now become beneficially entitled to 125% of the shares originally awarded. In each case, sufficient vested shares were withheld to cover certain tax obligations arising on the vesting. The interests of Jeff Pott, Lynn Tetrault and Tony Zook are in the Company's American Depositary Shares (ADSs). One ADS equals one ordinary share.
