AstraZeneca - Notice of teleconference on adoption of IAS/IFRS

On Monday, 25th October 2004 at 07:00 (BST), 08:00(CET), 02:00(EDT) AstraZeneca
will release financial figures for 2003 and the first two quarters and half-year
of 2004 prepared in accordance with IAS/IFRS.

There will be an analyst teleconference at 13:00(BST), 14:00(CET) 08:00 (EDT),
