CANCELLATION OF AIM ADMISSION AND MOVE TO OFFICIAL LIST

The Board of Athelney Trust plc (the 'Company') announces that the Company intends to cancel the quotation of its shares on AIM (the 'Cancellation'). The Cancellation is conditional on the Company's shares being admitted to the Official List and to trading on the main market of the London Stock Exchange and this is expected to take place on 24 September 2008. It is expected that, from 24 September 2008 onwards, shareholders will be able to trade their shares on the main market. The Board believes that such a move would be beneficial to shareholders.

Copies of the prospectus prepared in connection with the move to the Official List have been sent to shareholders and submitted to the UK Listing Authority. The prospectus is available on the Company's website at www.athelneytrust.co.uk and will shortly be available for inspection at the UK Listing Authority's Document Viewing Facility, which is situated, during normal business hours on any weekday (public holidays excepted), at The Financial Services Authority, 25 The North Colonnade, Canary Wharf, London E14 5HS.
