Senior appointments
Manpower Software plc announces today two senior appointments to the Company, as
it continues to build the operational team beneath the main Board.
Mr David Wheeler has been appointed Group Product Director. Mr Clive Cummins
has been appointed Client Services Director.
David Wheeler
Mr Wheeler (age 42 years) has over 20 years' experience in the international
commercial and government sectors of the software industry, including roles in
product development, product marketing, technology, process improvement, quality
assurance and operations.
Prior to joining Manpower Software plc, Mr Wheeler was Vice President,
Development and Operations at Proquest Alison (a Proquest/Bell & Howell Inc.
company), where he was responsible for the standardisation of over 100 major
pan-European, US and European national software system implementations onto a
single product baseline. He was also directly responsible for Bell & Howell's
product transformation from legacy to web-based B2B architecture, including one
of the largest ever roll-outs to the European Automotive sector.
Mr Wheeler holds a degree in Software Engineering and is an MBA. He is also a
graduate of the Royal Air Force College, Cranwell. He served in the Royal Air
Force for 12 years.
Mr Wheeler's initial responsibilities as Group Product Director will be to focus
on ensuring that Manpower Software delivers its MAPS solutions into its chosen
markets quickly and effectively, through standard repeatable product
development.
Clive Cummins
Mr Cummins (age 54 years) has over 30 years of international business experience
at senior level, including appointments as Director, Vice President, Operational
Manager and Delivery Manager in the European IT and Consulting industries.
Previously, Mr Cummins spent four years working for Cap Gemini, where he was
responsible for delivery of major public sector IT projects (£50m+), including
the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the Department of Health, the Highways
Agency and the Ministry of Defence. Prior to joining Cap Gemini, Mr Cummins had
a successful track record in the growth and development of the Client Services
and Operations divisions of two US based software companies, SSA and EXE
Technologies. There he delivered service revenues of £12m - £15m per annum, at
contribution rates of 40-60%, with professional services personnel of between
50-90.
Mr Cummins' primary responsibility as Client Services Director is to ensure the
successful and profitable delivery of MAPS software solutions for clients in
the Maritime, Defence and NHS market sectors using standard product, business
processes and implementation methodologies.
