                         DIRECTOR'S SHARE PURCHASES


Ian Bowles, Chief Executive Officer, has today purchased through his
Self-Invested Personal Pension plan 125,000 ordinary shares of 5p in the Company
("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 55.165p per share.

As a result of this purchase, Mr Bowles beneficially holds 223,500 Ordinary
Shares, representing 0.5% of the Company's issued share capital.
