MSW TECHNOLOGY PLC ('MSW')

MSW announces that, following the changes to the rules of its share option
schemes approved by shareholders at the Annual General Meeting held on 18
September 2000, options to acquire ordinary shares in the Company have been
granted to the Directors of MSW as set out below, exercisable at 42p per
ordinary share subject to certain performance criteria.

The options granted under the Approved scheme are exercisable between 18
September 2003 and 17 September 2010.  The options granted under the
Unapproved scheme are exercisable between 18 September 2002 and 17 September
2010.

Options over 306,495 ordinary shares have also been granted to employees of
MSW.
