                            DIRECTORS' SHARE PURCHASES


The Directors of the Company have today acquired, in an off-market transaction,
in aggregate, 102,562 ordinary shares of 5 pence each in the capital of the
Company ("Ordinary Shares") each at a price of 28.5 pence per share.  The
individual purchases by Directors and their resultant holdings are as follows:
