NOTIFICATION OF MAJOR INTEREST IN SHARES

The Company has been notified today that, following a sale on 16 May 2003 of
1,500,000 ordinary shares of 5p each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares"), Singer
and Friedlander Investment Management Limited has a total interest in 5,098,862
Ordinary Shares, representing 11.52 per cent of the Company's issued share
capital.

All shares are held on behalf of discretionary clients.
