                 NOTIFICATION OF MAJOR INTEREST IN SHARES


The Company was notified on 10 June 2002 that, following a purchase on 29 May
2002 of 750,000 ordinary shares of 5p each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares"),
Singer and Friedlander Investment Management Limited has a total interest in
6,348,862 Ordinary Shares, representing 14.34 per cent of the Company's issued
share capital.



The shares are held on behalf of discretionary clients.
