New contracts for MAPS Healthroster were signed with the following NHS Trusts: * Bexley NHS Care Trust * Burton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust * Cornwall Partnership MHT * Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust * Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust * South West Yorkshire Mental Health NHS Trust * Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust * Worcestershire Primary Care Trust Allocate's position as the leading supplier of e-Rostering and workforce optimisation solutions to the NHS was recognised when it was selected by the London Procurement Programme ("LPP") on to its new Workforce Optimisation Framework. Allocate achieved the highest evaluation score in the two categories, e-Rostering Software and Staff Bank Software, against a functionality specification required by the LPP. The new Framework will help to deliver considerable time savings to NHS Trusts embarking on e-Rostering projects as it will reduce the lengthy procurement process and thereby contribute to significant cost savings. Healthcare - extending the product portfolio for existing customers The following NHS Trusts have selected e-Rostering for Doctors to manage the time of their medical staff and junior doctors more effectively: * East Cheshire NHS Trust * Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust * Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust * Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust These Trusts join a growing community of Trusts who are now using MAPS Healthroster to roster the time of multiple staffing groups. MAPS Healthroster is the only system that is proven to be able to accommodate and manage the complexity of rota development for medical staff both at Junior Doctor and Consultant levels, improve the existing workforce processes, policy and management, and in particular streamline the rostering process for doctors' rotas which can be difficult to manage due to the European Working Time Directive ("EWTD"), annual leave and out of programme activities. Customers are now starting to take advantage of the recently launched e-Expenses solution from Allocate, with three customers selecting the product during the third quarter. e-Expenses enables staff to efficiently prepare and submit their expense claims and streamlines the approval and payment process for managers and payroll. 31 NHS Trusts have now indicated their intent to upgrade to BSMS Trinity. By combining the best of its three bank / temporary staffing products, MAPS Bank, BSMS and StaffBank, into one new, fully functional product, Allocate has developed a best of breed solution for bank staff management in NHS Trusts. BSMS Trinity improves the continuity of care, ease of reporting, saves time, and reduces errors while promoting regulatory compliance and enhancing financial returns. Healthcare - international expansion Allocate has been awarded its first contract in New Zealand with Capital and Coast District Health Board ("CCDHB") selecting MAPS Healthroster across all its services for Acute, Primary and Mental Health for the region as well as specialist tertiary-level care to a wider population. CCDHB is the leading provider of specialist health services in the central region of New Zealand and serves approximately 250,000 people living in Wellington City and its suburbs. In partnership with MKM Consulting, Allocate has won its first Healthcare contract in Australia. MKM Consulting, appointed as reseller of Allocate's MESaLS Equipment Loans software in Australia and New Zealand, has signed a contract with ACT Health to be the first customer to implement MESaLS in Australia. ACT Health will deploy MESaLS in a new purpose built facility accommodating five separate services within the Aged Care & Rehabilitation Service. MESaLS will be integrated with patient administration, ordering and scanned medical record systems. The solution is expected to deliver significant financial savings and operational efficiencies in the processing and tracking of loan equipment. On 15 December 2009, Allocate completed its third acquisition, that of Time Care AB, a Swedish-based provider of workforce management software with a strong focus on the Healthcare market. A detailed integration plan has already been agreed, which will see the two organisations fully integrated by May 2011. During the third quarter Time Care signed 17 new contracts. Other significant developments in the region include the introduction of two new modules for Time Care Pool - Automatic Cover Staff Booking, which helps to reduce staffing needs and increase service levels and opening times, and Temporary Vacancies, which enables the announcement of upcoming temporary vacancies. In addition, Time Care has announced the launch of Time Care Doctor, a web-based solution for timetabling that can easily be handled by both doctors and administrators. The system was produced in collaboration with a number of hospitals in Sweden and is used by a large number of clinics around the country. Defence Allocate has been awarded a major new Defence Services contract for the NATO Special Forces Headquarters unit ("NSHQ"), which will deliver new mission-important system capabilities to the existing MAPS deployment within NSHQ. This new contract win reinforces Allocate's position as a leading software supplier to NATO and complements the existing J1 (Personnel) and J5 (Force Generation) installations. Maritime The world's leading family entertainment company has now gone live with MAPS Maritime Suite for its cruise line business. The implementation of MAPS Maritime will enable them to effectively accommodate the expanding shoreside crew operations as their fleet of ships increases. The system will deliver efficient and effective job scheduling for both current and future new ships. Key to choosing MAPS Maritime Suite was its "out-of-the-box" functionality, the flexibility to customise the solution to meet their precise requirements, and the strength of Allocate as a reliable, professional and solid supplier. Comment Ian Bowles, Chief Executive Officer of Allocate commented: "This is another strong quarter with solid execution against our strategic objectives across all sectors. We continue to forge strong partnerships with NHS Trusts and our recent selection by the London Procurement Programme further demonstrates our continuing commitment to the NHS in the UK, where our applications are now the most commonly used solutions for e-Rostering and Temporary staff management. Given the response of NHS Trusts to our two most recent modules, I hope that over time the same will be said of e-Rostering for Doctors and e-Expenses. The acquisition of Time Care, completed on 15 December 2009, provides Allocate with a strong geographic footprint in the Nordic region and I look forward to working with the management and staff of Time Care to drive further growth in the region that will reinforce our position as the European leader for Workforce Optimisation Solutions in Healthcare. I am also particularly delighted to welcome our first customers for Healthcare in New Zealand, Capital & Coast District Health Board, and in Australia, ACT Health Board to Allocate's ever growing international user community. I believe that by working with our strategic alliance partner, PricewaterhouseCoopers, the opportunity for other District Health Boards in the region to realise significant benefits from deploying MAPS Healthroster will be realised."
