Appointment of a Non-Executive Independent Director

3 February 2011

The Company announces the appointment of Mr. Noel Lamb as an additional non-executive independent director to the Board of Directors, with effect from 1 February 2011.

Noel is a Barrister-at-law. He joined Lazard Brothers & Co Limited in 1987 and from 1992 to 1997 he was the managing director of Lazard Japan Asset Management where he was the fund manager for their Japanese equities. In 1997, Noel moved to the Russell Investment Group as their Director Portfolio Manager, London. He established the investment management capability of Russell London increasing their assets significantly over a 5 year period. In 2002, Noel was promoted to CIO, North America, a role he held until 2008.

There are no disclosures to be made in respect of LR 9.6.13 (1-6).

Audit Committee membership

The directors welcome Noel to the Board and announce that Noel will also be joining the Company's audit committee with effect from 1 February 2011.
