                     AUKETT GROUP PLC: BOARD APPOINTMENT

     Ian McQuattie joins Aukett Board as its third Non-Executive Director

Aukett Group Plc ('Aukett'), one of Europe's leading building design
practices, with 15 offices in ten countries, is pleased to announce that Mr.
Ian McQuattie is to join its Board as a non-executive, with immediate effect.

Mr. McQuattie, an FCA, is the principal of AVE Associates ('AVE'), a business
development and management consultancy advising on acquisitions, corporate
planning, organisational arrangements, disposals and fund raising strategies.

He is chairman of two other companies and a non-executive of another. They
are: Noble Denton International Limited, a leading international offshore oil
and gas engineering consultancy, with offices in the UK, throughout Europe and
in the Far East and Middle East; Stanco Exhibitions Limited, the UK's third
largest exhibition contracting company; and Paradigm Technology Limited, a
specialist in hand held data capture and computer based solutions for
logistics.

Mr. McQuattie, aged 56, has worked at Noble Denton since 1998, Stanco since
1996 and Paradigm since 1997.

Prior to these positions he was Chairman and Chief Executive, Westport Group
PLC for seven years; Group Finance Director, Sintrom Group PLC, for two years;
and Group Finance Director, Addison Consultancy Group PLC, for eight years,
helping manage the flotation of this advertising, market research, design,
recruitment, and financial public relations Company.

Before that, he was a Management Consultant at Coopers & Lybrand, moving up
from supervision audit and advisory. He qualified with Thompson McLintock.

Commenting upon the significance of the appointment, Andrew Lett, chairman of
Aukett said:

'Ian brings a diverse and in-depth background in corporate finance an
appreciation of many companies' long term strategy and an understanding of
commercial issues on a UK and international level at both large and small
companies. His strategic advice and broad network of M&A contacts should prove
invaluable to Aukett and contribute to the Group's future growth plans.'

There is no other information to be disclosed under the Rule 6F2 (b) - (g) of
