AUKETT GROUP PLC ('Aukett'): SENIOR MANAGEMENT APPOINTMENTS
Aukett Group Plc, the international group of architects, designers and
engineers, announces the appointments of Charles Young to the role of Director
of European Operations, a non-Board appointment, and Duncan Haddrell as Group
Financial Controller.
Commenting Geoff Harwood, Group Managing Director, said: 'These appointments
continue the restructuring of Aukett's management team at our London HQ,
underway over the past 12 months and referred to in our Interim results,
announced 24 June 2003. Charles will play an important part in our declared
strategy to support and revitalise the Aukett brand in Europe and will report
directly to me, whilst Duncan will report directly to Patrick Carter, our Group
Financial Director.'
Charles, 40, an architect by profession, will be accountable for delivering
improved performance across all European-based entities, comprising both
subsidiaries and joint ventures, in particular, the development of marketing and
improving the quality of services. For the past nine months, he has been
responsible for improving the overall performance of Aukett's European joint
venture operations. As part of that remit, he has been involved in identifying
weaknesses in each operation and implementing remedial changes where
appropriate.
Charles has spent a number of years working throughout mainland Europe in
professional and marketing capacities. He joined Aukett as European Marketing
manager in 2000. Duncan Haddrell, 34, will harmonise and strengthen the
financial control mechanisms throughout the entire Group, indirectly supporting
Charles in his wider objectives. He joins Aukett from Wilson Connolly Plc.
