           Change of accounting reference date and registered office



Avacta Group plc (the 'Company') announces that it has changed its accounting
reference date from 30 April to 31 July. The next results to be announced will
cover the six months ending 31 October 2006 and will be announced by 31 January
2007.  The audited accounts for the fifteen months ending 31 July 2007 will be
published by 31 October 2007.



The Company also announces that the Registered Office of the Company is now at
York Biocentre, York Science Park, Innovation Way, Heslington, North Yorkshire,
YO10 5NY.
