Cancellation of Treasury Shares

The Company has 36,655,924 of its own ordinary shares held as treasury shares, out of a total of 160,014,089 shares in issue.

The Company's Board has today elected to reduce the number of shares in treasury to 5% of the current shares in circulation, by cancelling 30,487,924 of the shares held in treasury. Following this cancellation, the Company will have 129,526,165 shares in issue and 6,168,000 shares in treasury. The number of shares in circulation and total voting rights of the Company remain unchanged at 123,358,165 shares.

There is no change in the Company's net asset value per share as a result of this action. The Company's Board and the Investment Manager remain fully committed to the ongoing share buy-back programme and will continue to review the number of shares held in treasury annually.
