The rate of interest (gross of income tax) on the Equities Index Unsecured Loan
Stock 2013 of the Company for the quarter ended 31 March 2006 was 2.874 pence
per unit calculated on a net dividend basis, equivalent to £28.74 per 1,000
units of stock.  The record date was 31 March 2006 and payment was being made on
10 April 2006.
