The Board of British Empire Securities and General Trust announces that on 20
September 1999, the Company purchased 39,000 units of Equities Index Unsecured
Loan Stock (EIULS) 2013 for cancellation, at a price of 286 pence per unit.
The Company now has 4,358,108 units of EIULS in issue.
