Equities Index Unsecured Loan Stock 2013 ('Equities Index Stock')

British Empire Securities and General Trust plc announces that it has today
bought back for cancellation 39,362 units of its Equities Index Stock at a price
of £2.85 per unit.  Following this purchase, there are 2,690,869 units of
Equities Index Stock still in issue.
