Aviva plc
Application has been made to the Irish Stock Exchange for the admission by way
of 102,621,734 ordinary shares of 25p each in Aviva plc to the Official List.
These shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares of the
company.
The total of 102,621,734 is composed of 90 million ordinary shares which relate
to the acquisition by Aviva plc of RAC plc. Application is also made for the
admission of a further 3 million Aviva plc ordinary shares by way of block
listing in respect of the compulsory acquisition of RAC plc ordinary shares
issued through the RAC Executive Share Option Scheme and a further 2 million
Aviva plc ordinary shares by way of block listing in respect of the compulsory
acquisition of RAC plc ordinary shares issued through the RAC Sharesave Scheme.
Application is also made for the admission of 7,621,734 ordinary shares issued
pursuant to the Aviva All Employee Share Ownership Plan.
The application is expected to be heard on Wednesday 11 May and admission is
expected to become effective and dealings expected to commence on Thursday 12
May.
