Correction: Scrip Dividend Scheme

On 18 August 2004 the Company announced that the scrip dividend calculation
price for the 2004 interim dividend payable on 17 November 2004 would be 508.1p.
Unfortunately it has been necessary to make a correction to the calculation
and the correct figure is 507.5p.

Unless notified otherwise in accordance with the terms of the Scrip Dividend
Scheme, the Company will treat as valid and effective any mandate forms received
to date.
