Aviva plc ("Aviva") announces that Trevor Matthews, Chief Executive of Aviva UK and an executive director of Aviva, has, on 2 December 2011, been granted a Conditional Share Award of 653,721 (six hundred and fifty three thousand, seven hundred and twenty one) Aviva plc ordinary shares of 25 pence each. 

The award will vest in three equal tranches on the first dealing day of March 2012, March 2013 and March 2014, subject to the terms of the award and dealing restrictions.

This transaction took place in London.
