CGNU SHARE TRUST

The CGNU Share Trust will make a number of acquisitions throughout the year to
satisfy awards made under the Company's executive share plans.  Because certain
directors of the Company are participants in those plans they are deemed to have
a beneficial interest in the total number of shares held by the Trust. 
Transactions by the Trust are therefore notifiable.

Accordingly, the Trustee has made the following acquisitions:-
