Aviva plc - Directorate Change

 

Aviva plc ("Aviva" or the "Company") announces that Michael Hawker will retire from the Board as a Non-Executive Director, and as Chairman of the Risk Committee and as a member of the Audit and Nomination Committees, with effect from 31st March 2019. He has served as a Non-Executive Director since January 2010. The succession planning process to identify a new Chairman of the Risk Committee is well-advanced.

 

 

Commenting on Michael Hawker's retirement, Sir Adrian Montague, Executive Chairman of Aviva, said:

 

"I would like to thank Michael for his enormous contribution to Aviva over the past nine years. He has brought to the Board a wealth of knowledge and experience gained over a long career in the banking and insurance industries in both executive and non-executive roles in Europe, Asia and Australia, and has been a distinguished Chairman of the Risk Committee."
