Storm claims in France and Continental Europe

CGU announces that its first preliminary estimate of the cost of claims from
the severe storms that  tracked through France and other Continental European
countries, from the 26 to 29 December 1999, is estimated to be approximately
£70m after reinsurance recoveries.
