NOTIFICATION OF MAJOR INTERESTS IN SHARES
Aviva plc has today received information from Lehman Brothers that on 15th
August 2006 Lehman Brothers International (Europe) had an interest of 77,791,322
ordinary shares of 25 pence, amounting to 3.22% of the issued share capital of
the Company. Lehman Brothers have also today advised that on 16th August 2006
Lehman Brothers International (Europe) had an interest in 126,098,168 ordinary
shares of 25 pence, amounting to 5.22% of the issued share capital of the
Company. The Company has been advised that these transactions form part of
normal client trading.
