                                  APPOINTMENTS

Avon has appointed Arden Partners plc as Financial Adviser and Broker with
immediate effect.

The Group is also pleased to announce the appointment of Miles Ingrey-Counter as
Company Secretary with effect from 1st October following the retirement of Peter
Fairbairn.

Having worked as a private practice solicitor in London for four years, Miles
joined Avon in January 2004 as Assistant Group Legal Adviser and became Deputy
Company Secretary on 1st October 2006.
