     Announcement of transaction in ordinary shares of £1 each ('the Shares')


The Company announces that on 1 August 2006 options over Shares ('the Options') 
were exercised at the share option price of £1.33 under the Company's Inland
Revenue Approved Employee Sharesave Option Scheme by Executive Directors and a
person discharging managerial responsibility ('PDMR'') as listed below.


The awards were exercised on the date shown below at the price of £1.33 per 
share.
