Avon Rubber p.l.c. announces today that Detlev Bartels has resigned from the
main Board with immediate effect but will assist with the handover of
responsibilities until 31 January 2005. Thereafter he will leave to pursue other
interests.
Steve Willcox, Chief Executive, will assume responsibility for the European
Automotive Division.
Detlev first joined Avon as Director of the European Automotive Division in
September 2001 and was appointed to the Board in May 2002. He has been based at
the Hanover office throughout his time with the Group.
