                             NON-EXECUTIVE CHANGES

The Board of Avon Rubber p.l.c. announces that with effect from 1st January
2006, Stella Pirie, Non-Executive Director, will assume the position of Chairman
of the Audit Committee. The current Chairman, Trevor Bonner, will continue to be
a member of the Committee.

We announced in June Eric Priestley's intention to retire from the Board at the
next AGM on Thursday 19th January 2006. He will be succeeded by Brian Duckworth
as Senior Independent Non-Executive Director.
