BABCOCK INTERNATIONAL GROUP PLC



Babcock International Group PLC (Babcock) announced today that Bill Tame has 
agreed to become its Finance Director.  Bill Tame is currently Finance Director 
of Scapa Group PLC and was formerly with Akzo Nobel and Courtaulds plc.  Nigel 
Young, the present Finance Director of Babcock, will be leaving the company at 
the end of November 2001 to pursue other career opportunities.
