Babcock International Group PLC 31 March 2003 Date: 31st March 2003 Contact: Gordon Campbell, Group Executive Chairman Babcock International Group PLC Telephone: 020 7291 5000 Rob Gurner Financial Dynamics Telephone: 020 7269 7221 Contract Wins Following its success in securing sole bidder status through the HOLDFAST Consortium for the £1.0 billion Royal School of Military Engineering PFI, Babcock International PLC, the support services company, announces today that it has secured additional contract wins or extensions to a value of some £11 million during March 2003. • A five year contract for the management of accommodation of contractor personnel involved in the construction of Terminal 5 at Heathrow. • A two year extension to the contract for provision of school infrastructure services at Ealing. • A one year, with four option years, contract for the management of NATO camps in Kosovo. This was won by a joint venture with DynCorp International (a CSC company) under the name of Dyncorp-Hiberna. • Services to the US army in Afghanistan. The latter two are the first contracts Babcock has succeeded in winning for services to either NATO or the US military. The Company will be announcing its preliminary results for the year ending 31 March 2003 in early June and is pleased to confirm that it has had an encouraging end to the year.
