Babcock International Group PLC has received notification that as at 20
February 2001, FMR Corp and Fidelity International Limited along with their
direct and indirect subsidiary companies, have an interest in 8,609,196
Ordinary Shares of 60p each in the Company. This interest represents 5.92% of
the issued Ordinary Share capital of the Company.
