                         Investors and Analysts seminar




Babcock International Group plc ('Babcock') will today be holding a seminar for
investors and analysts. The purpose of the seminar is to enable investors and
analysts to enhance their understanding of Babcock's businesses and the agenda
will cover the Group's activities in South Africa, power transmission and mobile
telephony networks, rail, the Defence Estates Regional Prime contracts and also
its involvement in the future aircraft carrier programme (CVF). The seminar will
be hosted by Peter Rogers, Chief Executive and the relevant divisional heads.

No material new information will be disclosed during the seminar and there will
be no update on current trading. Copies of the slides used during the seminar
will be available on the Babcock website (www.babcock.co.uk) from this
afternoon.
