                NEW AIRCRAFT CARRIERS - ROSYTH TO PLAY KEY ROLE


Babcock International Group, the support services company, welcomes yesterday's
announcement by the Ministry of Defence that its Rosyth shipyard will play a key
role in the design and build of The Royal Navy's two new aircraft carriers.


Babcock International Group also confirms that current performance and overall
trading continue to be in line with the company's expectations.
