BABCOCK WINS CONTRACT TO PROVIDE INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPORT SERVICES FOR TROOPS IN AFGHANISTAN

Babcock International Group PLC has been awarded a 2 year contract worth £2
million to provide infrastructure support services through Defence Estates for
the MoD in Afghanistan.  Babcock- HCS will work in partnership with the British
Army to complete the construction of the camp by the deadline of 31 October,
thus ensuring that troops are out of tented accommodation before the Afghan
winter.   On completion, HCS will assume responsibility for the operation and
maintenance of the camp as well as project management and design services in
support of new works projects.
