BABCOCK WINS R120 MILLION CONTRACT IN SOUTH AFRICA
Babcock International Group plc, the support services company, announces today
that their South African subsidiary Babcock Africa Ltd has secured a contract to
dismantle and prepare for shipping an ammonia production plant for relocation to
the People's Republic of China (PRC).
The contract, worth R120 (£8 million) over a thirteen month period, is with the
US based Panhai Corporation in consortium with Beitai Steel, a PRC corporation.
It will involve the mapping and documentation of process equipment as well as
refurbishment of equipment to be relocated.
