Babcock wins £65m contract at RAF Valley
Babcock International Group PLC ('Babcock'), the support services company,
announces today that its subsidiary, Babcock Defence Services ('BDS'), has been
awarded the prestigious multi-activity contract at RAF Valley - the MOD's fast
jet pilot training school on Anglesey.
The five year contract with options for a further three years, will involve a
full range of support services, from aircraft engineering to base support, and
is valued at some £65 million for the first five years. Through Babcock's
dedicated partnership with OCS Limited and the Defence Aviation Repair Agency ('
DARA'), it will deliver a complete support services solution.
Peter Rogers, Chief Executive of Babcock International Group PLC, said:
'Babcock is delighted to have won this contract which will result in the company
