BAE Systems completes Bohemia Interactive Simulations acquisition
Further to the announcement of 11 November 2021, BAE Systems has completed the acquisition of Bohemia Interactive Simulations (BISim) after receiving regulatory and customary approvals. The consideration of $200 million (approximately £150 million), subject to customary closing adjustments, has been funded from BAE Systems' existing cash resources.
BISim is a leading developer of advanced military simulation and training software using the latest game-based technology to deliver innovative, high-fidelity cost-effective training software products and related services. BISim will expand our modelling and simulation capabilities to meet evolving customer needs in the growing market for global military training, helping to protect military personnel, reduce the current environmental impacts of live training and support the carbon net zero ambitions of our customers and ourselves.
BISim's market-leading virtual and constructive simulation products are used within all branches of the US military and by more than 60 countries worldwide. Headquartered in Orlando, Florida, BISim has more than 325 employees around the world in countries including the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. BISim will join BAE Systems' Intelligence & Security sector.
