Appointment of Directors - Roberto Quarta and Philip Carroll

As previously announced, Roberto Quarta and Philip Carroll were appointed
non-executive directors of  BAE Systems plc with effect from 7 September 2005.

Mr Quarta is currently a director of BBA plc and Azure Dynamics Inc.  He was
previously a director of Powergen Plc and Equant NV.

Mr Carroll is currently a director of Vulcan Materials Company.  He was
previously a director of American Express Company, Boise Cascade Corporation and
Scottish Power plc.

Neither Mr Quarta nor Mr Carroll has any other details to disclose under
paragraph 9.6.13 of The Listing Rules.
