Board Appointment

BAE Systems announces the appointment with effect from 1 January 2007 of Ian
King, at present Group Managing Director of CS&S, to the position of Chief
Operating Officer UK and Rest of the World (excluding the US-led businesses) and
a member of the Board of Directors.

Chris Geoghegan and Steve Mogford remain as Executive Directors of the company
but will cease to be Chief Operating Officers with effect from 1 January 2007.
