BAE SYSTEMS PLC 31 January 2006 BAE Systems agrees sale of AEROSTRUCTURES 31 January 2006 BAE Systems has today agreed the sale of its Aerostructures business, the Prestwick-based company, to Spirit AeroSystems Inc. for a cash consideration of £80m. Aerostructures provides major airframe structures solutions for a number of customers, including Airbus, Boeing and Raytheon. The business employs approximately 830 people. In 2005, Aerostructures had sales of £207m, generating EBIT of £7.4m. Completion of the sale is conditional upon, amongst other matters, regulatory approval being given and is expected to take place in first half of 2006.
