DR ULRICH CARTELLIERI APPOINTED AS NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF BRITISH AEROSPACE
PLC

British Aerospace is pleased to announce that Dr Ulrich Cartellieri will be
joining the Board of Directors as a non-executive Director with effect from 
1 December 1999. Dr Cartellieri is presently a member of the Supervisory Board
of Deutsche Bank AG and he is also a director of Robert Bosch GmbH, Henkel
KGaA and Deputy Chairman of DEG, the Federal Government owned German
Investment and Development Company.
