F&C Pacific Investment Trust PLC (the 'Company')



Change of name



Further to the announcement made on 18 May 2005, the change of name of the
Company to Witan Pacific Investment Trust plc has now become effective.  As a
result of the change of name, the Company's shares will trade under the code '
WPC' with effect from 1 June 2005.
