Witan Pacific Investment Trust plc (the 'Company')

Purchase of own securities

The issuer advises that the following replaces the Transaction in Own Shares
announcement released erroneously on 3 October 2007 at 17:09 under RNS Number 
1035F.

Due to an administrative error, the cancellation price was reported as 183.75
per ordinary share. The price stated in the announcement should have read 183.25
pence per ordinary share.

The announcement set out below is the fully corrected version:


The Board of the Company announces that it has today made a market purchase of
850,000 ordinary shares of twenty-five pence each in the capital of the Company
(SEDOL No.0365602), representing 1.22% of the current issued ordinary
share capital of the Company, for cancellation at a price of 183.25 pence per
ordinary share.

Following cancellation, 68,611,851 ordinary shares in the Company will
remain in issue.
