WITAN PACIFIC INVESTMENT TRUST PLC (the "Company")

Buy-back of own securities

The Company announces that on 12^th March 2010 it bought back 35,000 Ordinary shares of 25p each in the capital of the Company (SEDOL: 0365602 / ISIN: GB0003656021), representing approximately 0.05% of the issued Ordinary share capital, at a price of 183.46 pence per Ordinary share.

The Ordinary shares bought back are to be cancelled following which there will be 66,273,868 Ordinary shares and Total Voting Rights remaining in issue.
