WITAN PACIFIC INVESTMENT TRUST PLC (the "Company")

Buy-back of own securities

The Company announces that on 31 July 2012 it has bought back 16,000 Ordinary shares of 25p each in the capital of the Company (SEDOL: 0365602 / ISIN: GB0003656021), representing approximately 0.02% of the issued Ordinary share capital, at a price of 203.50 pence per Ordinary share.

The Ordinary shares bought back will be cancelled, following which there will be 66,048,000 Ordinary shares and Total Voting Rights remaining in issue.
