Appointment of Angus Tulloch as Director of the Company
The Board of Baillie Gifford Shin Nippon PLC is pleased to announce the
appointment of Angus Tulloch as Director of the Company with effect from 9
November 2007.
Angus Tulloch, who is 58, has over 27 years' investment experience. He is
currently joint Managing Partner of the Asia Pacific & Global Emerging Markets
equity team at First State Investments where his primary focus is stock
selection and portfolio construction.
The Chairman of Baillie Gifford Shin Nippon PLC, Michael Hathorn, commented:
'My fellow Directors and I are delighted to welcome Angus to the Board.
Following a thorough search process, we believe that we have appointed an
individual with extensive and current investment experience, who will further
expand the Board's depth and breadth and who will make a considerable
contribution to the Company'.
Mr Tulloch is a director of The Scottish Global Emerging Markets Investment
Trust PLC. There is no other information required to be disclosed under section
9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.
